Last week, representatives from BIFA’s secretariat attended the FIATA World Congress in Vietnam.

Themed ‘Green and resilient logistics’, this year’s Congress brought together over 1000 stakeholders across 100+ countries and territories to discuss current sector challenges and reflect on a considerable range of industry developments such as cross-border e-commerce, digital transformation, navigating geopolitical realignment and driving sustainable supply chains.

The Vietnamese government were represented on the opening day of the event; where Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính demonstrated their commitment to the country’s development which in turn proved to be great indicator for our sector’s future in the country.

BIFA’s representatives also benefited from attending informative panel sessions, with speakers representing freight forwarders, software suppliers, government officials, UN officials, advisors etc.

In an official event press release, FIATA President Turgut Erkeskin stressed that the greatest strength of the FIATA Congress lies not only in its discussions, but in the connections it creates.

It is a forum for exchanging knowledge, building trust, and shaping the future of logistics together – a sentiment that is equally expressed by the BIFA representatives in attendance.
