BIFA Press Release | BIFA has added a Export Licensing module to its Bitesize eLearning programme, further strengthening the training available to members of the trade association as part of their subscription benefits.
Available now to all trading members via the BIFA Member Portal, the latest addition to the growing suite of online training courses has been developed in response to member demand and provides a practical introduction to one of the most important aspects of international trade compliance.
Members who complete the module will have a better understanding of why export licences are required and the role they play in international trade.
The module addresses issues such as which authorities are responsible for export controls and licensing; as well as the different types of export licences and when they may be needed.
Practical advice on the identification of goods, destinations and end-users that may require a licence are also addressed, as well the key steps involved in the export licensing process; and the potential consequences of non-compliance.
Since its launch in early 2025, BIFA Bitesize has become an invaluable training resource for members, with more than 3,000 employees from BIFA member companies accessing the platform and completing over 13,000 learning modules.
