HMRC has announced a forthcoming CDS update taking place on 30 July 2026
The update will be completed without a system outage.
The 5.2.1 release includes:
- Error code message
- Updates for document/AI/location codes
- Changes related to Northern Ireland movements
To avoid rejections, any pre-lodged declarations that arrive on or after the release date should be submitted based on the shared instructions.
