The Department for Business and Trade is inviting BIFA members to participate in a Digital Trade Pilot.

The program is the UK Government’s initiative to simplify business-to-business trade processes between the UK and European partners, starting with France and Germany, by replacing paper trade documents with electronic versions (ETDs) such as invoices, packing lists, and e-bills of lading.

Participants will work with an experienced company to digitalise their documents, run a real shipment, and assess the benefits, including time and cost savings, reduced errors and paper use, and improved productivity.

Please see the below documents for more information:

In addition, Members are invited to attend a stakeholder workshop as part of the ongoing engagement for the Digital Trade Corridor (DTC) pilot programme. The workshop will take place on 23 October, 10:30-11:30.
