The European Union has officially confirmed a 12-month delay to the implementation of the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).

Following the formal publication in the official Journal of the European Union on 23 December 2025, the new compliance deadline for large and medium-sized operators is now December 30 2026.
Micro and small businesses will have until June 30 2027 to become compliant.

A further review of the EUDR is scheduled to take place in 2026. BIFA will continue to monitor any developments and communicate in detail the relevant changes via BIFA TV and BIFALink magazine.
