HMRC has reached out to CLECAT to support them in connecting with a small number of hauliers to gain insights into how HMRC can improve the current driver messaging service, specifically regarding how GVMS notifies drivers of the requirement to report for an SPS check.

The insights gathered will support an upcoming change in which GVMS will inform drivers moving goods via the Common Transit Convention that an SPS check is required.

BIFA has been asked to help in sourcing some candidates/hauliers (4-5 in total), please let Robert Windsor know by 4th June if you are interested in assisting in this research.

We will then forward these to CLECAT for onforwarding to HMRC. Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to hearing from you.

BIFA is a Member of CLECAT an organisation representing freight forwarders at an EU level.
