HMRC is inviting traders to take part in research to help improve guidance and tools for businesses importing goods into the UK

The research team is particularly interested in hearing from users who are less experienced or less confident in understanding customs duty, import VAT, valuation or the total cost of importing.

If your organisation is interested, please share this invitation with colleagues who are new to importing or who are looking to develop their customs and trade knowledge.

The research team is looking for less-confident candidates to take part in a 60-minute remote concept-testing session. The research will involve reviewing early concepts for helping traders understand import costs, duty and VAT.

No specialist customs knowledge is required! HMRC is testing the concepts, not the participants.
