This week brought us the excellent news from the USA that dockworkers from the International Longshoreman’s Association (ILA) have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a new six-year labour contract with employers.

The ratification of the deal lifts any lingering threat of renewed industrial action at US East and Gulf coast ports and is good news for BIFA members, and customers that use their international container services through those ports.
