BIFA have been contacted by the DfT with information regarding road related issues within the Southeast of England.

On the M25, please find the National Highways M25 release here advising people to follow the official diversion routes, and to only travel if necessary.

For the summer getaway, Operation Brock in Kent was deployed overnight (10th) ahead of the summer holidays beginning on Friday 19th..

We anticipate high volumes of tourists will travel via Eurotunnel and Port of Dover from this weekend. In particular, we expect Kent roads to be very busy throughout the weekends of 19-21 July and 26-28 July.

If Operation Brock and Dover TAP is in operation, Police and DVSA enforcement teams will be operating across Kent to ensure compliance.

HGVs travelling to Port of Dover will require a permit to access the Port. Permits will be issued at the front of the Operation Brock queue.

Please check the information provided by Eurotunnel and Port of Dover before you travel, and ensure you have supplies of food and water, particularly in hot weather.

Please find press release from Kent County Council here.
