BIFA is aware that Operation Brock is now deployed and applies to all freight vehicles heading to cross the Channel. All transport operators heading to the Channel Ports must use the M20.
This summer will also see all freight vehicles issued with a Brock permit should Operation Brock go into active state, with freight vehicles being held.
HGV Permits: Queuing freight vehicles will be issued a “Brock permit”. Drivers will be required to use the Cross Channel operators for the ‘permit’ they have been issued with. For instance, we have been advised that any vehicle arriving at the Port that has a Eurotunnel permit will be turned around.
It should also be noted that tourist traffic is expected to be very busy, and therefore congestion is expected.
