HMRC has issued further information related to the forthcoming S&S declaration requirement coming into force from the 31st of January 2025.

The published updated FAQ document and the Countries of Routing guidance offers additional information on:

  • recording countries of routing
  • clarification on country of dispatch and country of origin
  • declaring customs transit or temporary storage movements
  • what to do if the relevant customs office of first entry code is not available
  • declaration for goods transiting UK or remaining on board
