The latest findings in the Transport Focus Lorry Drivers’ Facilities Survey have been published.
The Transport Focus Lorry Drivers’ Facilities Survey runs as a three-year programme, with a representative third of qualifying sites visited each year. Each year, lorry drivers are surveyed at service areas about their visit and their overall perceptions of roadside facilities across the UK.
Summary of findings:
- A strong connection between drivers’ ability to rest and how safe they feel
- Vehicle safety satisfaction scores vary widely between sites on the network
- Recent investments have brought renewed interest in improving facilities
- 2/3 of drivers were dissatisfied with the number and quality of sites in the UK
The full results of the report have now been published and are available to view on Transport Focus’ website.
