In the next coming weeks, there will be overnight lane closures on the A27, while essential work is undertaken. Please see the message below from National Highways for more information.
Following work during the summer, when we replaced two westbound expansion joints on the A14 Orwell Bridge, we now need to finish some remaining tasks.
The bridge will remain open to traffic over the next two weeks while we safely carry out this work, but there will be overnight lane closures on the following dates:
- Monday 17 to Wednesday 19 November – overnight westbound lane closure between 8pm and 6am
- Thursday 20 and Friday 21 November – overnight lane closure on the eastbound and westbound carriageway between 8pm and 6am
- Monday 24 to Thursday 27 November – overnight westbound lane closure between 8pm and 6am
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we complete this essential work.
