The Animal and Plant Health Authority has launched a new service where traders can track the position of concerned vehicles in real time.

With the increasing volume of traffic passing through Sevington BCP and the high number of enquiries received each day, the APH recognise the need for a streamlined and secure method of requesting vehicle progress updates.  

‘Where’s my truck’ is a new service that allows traders, hauliers and agents to request real time updates on where their vehicle is within the Sevington BCP process.   

This new service has been introduced to:

• deliver faster response times  
• improve accuracy of information shared  
• support smoother, more transparent journeys for importers  

This new system has been created in direct response to user feedback and ensures you receive accurate information quickly, while also helping our operational teams manage enquiries efficiently and securely.  

How to use the new service  

1. Send your request to the dedicated mailbox SevingtonBCPExternalComms@APHA.gov.uk  

All update enquiries should now be routed through this mailbox. It is managed by a dedicated team trained to respond to vehicle location enquiries.  

2. Use the required subject line ‘Where is my truck’  

This subject line automatically flags your message as a vehicle location request and places it into the correct queue. Using this exact wording ensures your request is handled as quickly as possible.  

3. Provide mandatory validation details  

To receive an update, the following information must be included in your email:  

• VRN – vehicle registration number  
• TRN – trailer registration number  
• CHED number  
• CDS reference number  

These details allow you to be verified as an authorised trader, agent or haulier and ensure that the correct information is shared with the correct party. Requests cannot be processed if any of the required details are missing.
